An deireadh seachtaine seo shocraigh mé an camán a chuir síos agus dul ar champa treanála le mo chuid cairde a bhíonn ag tógáil meácháin Oilipeach. Chuaigh muid trasna go Óstán De Faoite in Loch Garman, áit a bhfuil ionad treánála agus téarnaimh ann. Bhí sceideal dian leagtha amach ag na leaids dúinn. Istigh sa sceideal seo bhí ceithre sheisiúin treanála ar an saithairn le dhá seisiúin cryotherapy ar bharr sin. Ar an domhnach, rinne muid dhá seisiúin treanála, agus dhá seisiúin cryotherapy. San iomlán 6 seisiúin treanála, 4 seisiúin cryotherapy agus seal sa sauna agus an linn snámha. Deireadh seachtaine den scoth ar fad. Déanfaidh é cur síos níos cruinne ar an treanáil, agus mo thuairim den cryotherapy rud beag níos moille. Míle buíochas leis na leaids uilig a bhí ar an champa. Ba phléisiúir é a bheith ag treanáil leo.
At the weekend I decided to put down the hurling stick and go on a training camp with my Olympic weightlifting friends. We went to Whites Hotel in Wexford, where there is a high performance training and recovery centre. The schedule that was set out was intense. As part of the training camp we trained four times on Saturday with two cryotherapy sessions on top of that. On Sunday we trained twice with a further two Cryo sessions. In total we trained 6 times in 2 days with 4 Cryo sessions, along with a bit of time spent in the pool and sauna. It was a great weekend altogether. I will describe the training and cryotherapy treatment in more detail later on. I am very grateful to all the lads who were on the training camp, it was an absolute pleasure to train with them!
