Dfhan mé ar shiúil ón gym inniú agus chaith mé am tréanála an lae ag iomáint. Is breá liom am a chaitheamh ag cur feabhas ar na scilleanna iomána. In sa chéad seisiúin a rinne mé ag a haon a chlog sa halla, chaith mé uair go léith ag obair ar an chéad teagmháil, ionsaí ar an sliotar ard, agus roinnt scaoileamh. Chaith mé seal ag dúbailt ar sliotair chomh maith. Mothaigh mé go maith inniú. Bhí mé éadrom ar na cosa agus ag bualadh an sliotar go maith. Rinne mé drill inar bhuail mé an sliotar go had isteach i gcoirneál, ansin bhí orm treoir an sliotar a léamh agus é ag teacht amach as an choirneál. D'obir sé go measartha maith óir bhí mé ar na bairicíní agus ag athrú treoir go minic.
Don dara seisiúin bhí mé amuigh ag scaoileamh ar an pháirc sa aimsir dheas. Bhí seisiúin foirne ar an sceideal ach cuireadh ar ceall é inniú. Thug seo fáil dom díriú isteach ar na scileanna. Tá síniú bherá sa solas na letha seo! Thosaigh mé thart ar 5.30 agus chríochnaigh ag 7. Tá mé ag bualadh an sliotar go maith. Sheol mé cúpla poc sleasa thairis na cuaillí chomh maith.
Ó thaibh an bia de, bhí mé ag siopáil inniú agus bhí sé deacair gan feoil a cheannacht....ansin rinne mé prachas den dinéar! Nílis agam an mairfidh an ré seo gan feol, ach ar a laghad beidh mé ag cur eolas ar roinnt bí nua. Bhí píseánaigh glasa agam inné atá ard sa phróitéin, mianraí agus vitimíní. Bhí siad deas go leor. Beidh le feiceáil cá fhad a mhaireas mé gan sicín nó mairtfheoil!

I stayed away from the gym today and spent the training hours of the day hurling. I love spending time improving my hurling skills. In the first session at one o clock in the hall, i spent an hour and a half working on first touch, attacking the high ball, and some shooting. I also spent some time doubling on oncoming balls. I felt good today. I was light on the feet and hitting the ball well. I did a drill where i hit the ball high into the corner and had to react to the path of the ball coming back. It worked well as I was on the toes and changing direction a lot.
For the second session i was out shooting on the field as the weather was fine. A team sesion was planned but was cancelled today. This really gave me the opportunity to get stuck into the skills. There is a good aul stretch in the evenings these days, as I started at 5. 30 and finished at 7. Im hitting the sliotar well. I also sent a few sidelines over the bar for good measure.
From the food side of things, I was shopping today and it was hard not to buy meat, then I messed up dinner! I dont know if this phase of no meat will last long but at least I will have experimented with some new foods. I had green lentils yesterday, that are high in protein, minerals, and vitimins. They were nice enough. We will see how long I go without chicken or beef!
Tomorrow I am going up to Limerick to train with the weightlifting lads again so I am looking forward to that.
