Soilse Oíche Aoine/ Friday Night Lights

Bhain muid an cluiche ar oíche Aoine measartah éasca. Bhí mé ag imirt i lár na páirce. Ní raibh an aimsir go hiontach ach bhain mé an-sult as an cluiche. Scóráil mé dhá chuilín sa chéad leath in aghaidh na gaoithe. Ó thaobh na haidhmeanna a lag mé amach dom féin an oíche roimh ré, measaim gur bhain mé iad amach a bheag nó a mhór. Seo na príomh phointí a bhian mé ón cluiche:
  • Bhí an ráta oibre go maith
  • Choinnigh mé greim ar an sliotar nuair a bhéigean dom agus thug mé an pas boise don fear in áit níos fearr.
  • Nuair a thug mé solathar do na tosaithe, bhí sé íseal agus crua agus fuair siad roinnt scóranna uaidh.
  • Bhí meon s'agam go maith agus mhothaigh mé measartha aclaí.
  • Seas gur chaill mé an díriú intinne rud beag sa dara leath mar sin caithfidh mé díriú isteach ar an déine a choinneáil thuas sna tréimhsí deirneach den cluiche.
  • Lig mé don sliotar ard titim uair nó dhó agus measaim go dtiocfadh liom ionsaí níos déine a dhéanamh ar an sliotar.
  • Ba chóir dom mo choigeann a choinneáil suas agus an sliotar i seilbh agam sa dóigh is go dtig liom na fir thart orm a fheiceáil níos soiléire.

Tá an chéad cluiche eile ar an Luain mar sin glacfaidh mé sos ar an Sathairn agus seisiún gasta ar an Domnach.

We won the Friday night game pretty easy. I was playing midfield. The weather was not great but i really enjoyed playing this game. I scored two points against the wind. With regards the goals I set myself the night before, I think i achieved them nearly completely. Here are the main points I took from the game.

  • Work rate was good, especially in the first half
  • I held on to the sliotar when i needed to and gave a hand pass to the man in the better space
  • Wen I gave supply to the forwards it was low and hard and they were happy with it. We got a few scores from the balls I sent in.
  • My attitude was good and i felt that I had the fitness to puch on the extra bit when i needed.
  • I think I lost my concetration in the second half so I have to work on this.
  • I let the high ball fall a few times, and didnt attack the ball as intensly as I wanted to.
  • I should keep my head up when I have the ball so I can see the men around me more clearly.

The next game is on Monday so I will rest on Saturday and train on Sunday.

  1. Forget to ask you... Did you try a light bit of power snatch or anything dynamic like that the morning before the game?

    If so, any thoughts?

  2. Hey Eamonn. Yea i tried it out. I felt like it woke me up a bit. Have another game tonight so I am going o try a similar prep session. I outlined it in a post there this morning. 30 mins in total. 10 min warm up, 10 min snatch, and 10 minutes of first touch in the hall. What you reckon??
